Fugitive Fragments

Versatile Blogger Award

versatile_blogger_awardChristine Blackwell has very kindly nominated my blog for the Versatile Blogger Award.
Thank you again Crissy

Here are the rules:

Display the Award Certificate on your blog.
Announce your win with a post. Make sure you post a link back to me as a ‘thank you’
for the nomination.
Present 15 awards to 15 deserving bloggers.
Leave them a comment to let them know after you have linked them to a post.
Post seven interesting things about yourself.

Seven, okay:

My blog name derives from the fact that only fragments of my writing escape to the internet – most of it goes straight into the bin.
I am mustachioed (not an implant :P ).
I’m already excited about the new Muppet Movie due next year.
I try to restrict my Pinterest pinning to twice monthly. Sometimes I even succeed.
I plan to visit Alhambra in 2015 and am looking forward to viewing its walls of epigraphic poems.
When I was five I told a lie that still troubles me.
I deliberately wear a G-String under my suit at Board meetings to mentally mind-fuck the old fuddy-duddies around the table.

I nominate the following for the Versatile Blogger Award in no particular order:

1   sargassogyre.wordpress.com
2   kianaspoeticawakenings.com
3   metarvheenoia.wordpress.com
4   sued51.wordpress.com

7   concetta813.wordpress.com
8   deuscain.wordpress.com/

  2. congrats on the award. deserving indeed. Amazed to read that a lie told at age 5 still bothers you

    • Thanks dear n-l, and yes, the lie – when I tried to apologise to my brother for it a few years ago, he couldn’t remember the incident (he’s two years younger) so now I’m stuck with guilt that will never go away. Not nice. Don’t lie. Ever.

  8. Congratulations and well deserved. :)

  9. Love your acceptance and post :) Congrats again!!!

  10. It worries me, Mike, that you’re only half-joking about the g-string…but then fuddy-duddies deserve whatever they get, I suppose! Really, your Pinterest addiction troubles me far more. :)

    • I share your concern about Pinterest but my ego demands that I have ONE vice. And I don’t ‘half-joke’ about the G-String – have you ever tried to wear half a G-String?

  11. The G-string is an amusing way to avoid getting strung out at work 😂

  12. Good afternoon, Wexford is basking in glorious sunshine.

Whaddya think?

Maze of Musings

"Go into the arts. I’m not kidding. The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an an enormous reward. You will have created something." - Kurt Vonnegut
